Here's a modern working of the legendary ghost story that was written by M.R James in 1893. Young orphan Stephen Elliot comes to live with his scholarly uncle, Mr Abney. Soon it is obvious to Stephen that all is not as it should be at his new home. First there the strange ghostly music, then this becomes scratching noises at night and finally there are the ghostly apparitions of a young boy and girl who seem to have had their hearts ripped out. Are the ghost children there to kill him - or save him.
